Bjorn has won many prestigious awards through various professional bodies, including the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP) and the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP):
About Bjorn:
Bjorn Thomassen, was born in England to an English mother and Norwegian father. Bjorn's father was a merchant navy captain, and Bjorn followed in his footsteps and spent a short period on the high sea's, eventually working as a harbour Master's assistant / policeman.
For ten years Bjorn was also a crew member and helmsman, of the Royal National Life Boat Institute. It was there that he achieved his proudest accolade to date. He was awarded a Velum, for his contribution to saving life at sea.

Bjorn gained his first professional photographic qualification in 1994. Whilst Bjorn's experiences have encompassed a variety of photographic fields, his passion and specialisation is commercial and social aspects of people photography.
